So, Saturday I got out of the apartment with my friend Don and while he was checking out at Barnes & Noble, a guy started talking to me. I didn't consider it trying to be picked up but Don might know best: he's older (39 to my 24), potentially wiser, and probably has done this sort of thing before on a number of occasions. So, apparently by his standards I'm being hit on all of the time and I've decided to turn on the hit-on-o-meter and see how often this really happens, if at all.
This morning I went to Quik Trip (QT) to get my perfect mix of french vanilla and choccolatte (hot chocolate). A guy was filing up his 50 something oz. with cappucino and we chatted a bit, his initiation. He then hands me a business card. Now, I really hate this for a few reasons 1) Is this being hit on or is he a salesman and trying to sell...I have no idea what they sell/do at this business or even what the complicated 4 word job title would even entail. 2) If he WAS hitting on me, it puts me in the odd predicament of having to take the initiative. What was I supposed to do? "Hey, WAIT let me give you MY numbers"??? I don't think so!
He was very cute, though. I wouldn't be embarrsed to be seen in public with him like umm..some boyfriends I've had (if you're an ex reading this, then it's probably not you, don't worry! heh heh) . Besides, I'm not entirely sure of how long I should wait until after a breakup to start dating again, especially since I was on the one dumped. I'm thinking 4 days is too short, though.
I would ask for comments, but since I've had this site all of less than 24 hours, I'm sure no one's found it. My decision is nay.
