Newlyweds: Season 1: Disc 2 (2003) = 2/10. It's awful, but I can't stop watching. Not as many dumb blonde moments from Jessica. On the last episode I didn't quite understand one thing. Nick took Jessica to San Diego for what was supposed to be a romantic getaway. He does many right things: surprising her, hot-air balloon ride, rose petals in the bungalow thingy they stayed in, romantic candlelit dinner on their porch, horse races. Wait, HORSE RACES??? Having never attended a horse race, I cannot speak of their aptitude for romance. But it doesn't seem like a very romantic thing to do. Now, it would have been different if they had thrown in a bit that said Jessica loves horses or likes to gamble, but they didn't. If also would be different if Nick had said that the races were just for him or something. But no.
I received a Blockbuster Online movie from a brick & mortar store in Tulsa. That's a first. This means that at least one Tulsa store participates in helping with the online rental efforts.
One Christmas down, two to go. Although I'm pretty sure Doug liked his gifts, I still feel totally lame that he put WAAAAY more thought into my birthday gift, a 1st edition signed copy of Jennifer Weiner's Good In Bed, than I did for all of his Christmas gifts combined. Hmm...I wonder if his choosing of this particular title by the author was pure happenstance or a modern Freudian slip. Had he chose In Her Shoes for this purpose, I might have drawn other Freudian conclusions. And those aren't good ones!
