Arrested Development: Season 1: Disc 2 (2003). A never-nude. HAH!
Doug gets a big gold star for saving his friend A yesterday with that handy damdy Heimlich maneuver. In a public restaurant. This fact is a good thing to know about him because I'm not entirely sure I would successfully be able to impale myself should the need arise.

Whoa!
Hold the presses.
He eats at Rib-Crib, but won't go to Famous Daves??
BK, I said the EXACT thing to him. Actually, my version was more like "wait just a minute, you will eat at Rib Crib with A but not with me? I see how it is."
His reply: "well, it was pretty much the only thing in Sapulpa that was open that late."
That late was like 9:30. Puhlease. :)
His friend almost died? How scary. I choked once when I was about 8. I was running around the dinner table eating ice and a piece slid and got stuck in my throat. So I ran to my mom and did hand signals. So she turned me upside down (I was much littler then). The ice cube was dislodged and my life was saved!! I suppose it would have melted eventually? It was an odd feeling not being able to talk or breathe.
Hahah! I couldn't wait for you to find out about the never-nudes!!
I'm not sure that he "almost died" but he definitely couldn't breathe.
The thing about the ice is what happens if it takes longer for the ice to melt than oxygen you have. Choking would be a crappy way to die (I think it might be behind burning and drowninjg for me) but especially if it was by a piece of ice.
If you were choking on ice you could just pour some hot water down your throat, eh?
Well, I don't know. I guess it's worth a shot. But don't you choke when things go in the wrong pipe or something? So wouldn't you be pouring all this water into your lungs or whatever? I think that's why I couldn't talk/make noise???
