Apparently Wax Bounces

Newlyweds: The Final Season: Disc 2 (2005). In the last episode, Jessica said something along the lines of "I just thought once you got married it was happily ever after. I had no idea what I was getting myself into." Hmm....I wonder why mommy, daddy, SOMEONE didn't clue her in. Yeah, I'm not married, but I certainly don't think it's going to be easy regardless of who it's with.

Munich (2005) = 7.5/10. I was pretty bored with this movie, but the plot was good.

November (2004) = 7.5/10. Neither Doug nor I understood the movie when we watched it. Thus, I almost rated it 5. After reading the message boards on IMDB, I've come to realize that it was purely brilliant in an arty sort of way. It irks me that I'm not intelligent enough to get movies like this and Primer by myself.

The Family Stone (2005) = 3/10. Don't the previews make it look as if the entire movie will be a comedy of errors? Yeah, I thought that and only laughed during a 4 minute section. *spoiler alert* I cried at the end when the panned across the family and mommy was missing. I still can't really get over the notion of dating a someone and ending up with his brother with my sister that's doing the same with the same brothers. I'm pretty sure I would NOT want to share the same man's penis...or anything, really with my sister (if I had a sister, that is). Ick!

Before Sunset (2004) = 3/10. Apparently I'm the only person who didn't like this movie given it's in the top 250 on IMDB. Oh well.

See, I'm not the only one who thought teaching sucked.

Try not to be eating a meal while you read this because it even grossed me out. So, I'm Pushing moment ago and got into position to do a push-up from the ground. That is, my tummy and head were touching my yoga mat with my arms to the side, ready for push-up action. I go up for the first one and hear "ting-ta-ting"...I just knew I had messed up my jewelry (see how paranoid I am about that?). Instead, on the mat I just found a ball of cerumen. EWWWWWW!!!

That might account for part of the reason I'm so hard of hearing. We'll see next Monday.

?? A ball of earwax?? How big? Where did it come from?? Weird.

Watched Capote last night - it was good. Can't remember if you've reviewed it yet.

Miss you. :)

It was about the size of 1.5 peas and my best guess is that it fell out of my ear. (psst...you were supposed to deduce that).

I haven't seen Capote, but I will eventually. I'd like to watch Capote and then watch In Cold Blood on the same day. Doing so apparently ties things together.

I watched Capote yesterday.
It was pretty good (in the documentary sort of way).

That's one mighty ball of earwax.
Secreting anything else you want to blog about?

Psst: You'll also need to watch To Kill A Mocking Bird.

I've seen To Kill A Mockingbird twice and read the book in high school. Check!

Secreting anything else to blog about? Not sure if that's meant to be read as "that's gross, talk about something else" or if you're referring to a (non)-:secret" I've told you or something.

huh secret huh

I saw a weirdo ball of something yellowish outside the other day and I thought of your ball of wax. It freaked me out.

Turned out to be some kind of sponge thing they use to fix the roof (still fixing hurricane damage over here). If it's still out there I'll take a picture for you tomorrow. :D

Just as long as you don't ever see a turd, barf, or anything dead and think of me, we're ok. :)

I am SO glad that I forced myself to avoid your "Family Stone" post until after watching! I did already know (going in) that it was NOT a funny movie, that it was actually more serious, and that the mother had breast cancer (although I was suprised by the lack of going into this in the film). I bawled like a six year old, but I loved the movie. SJP is my God.

See, I don't remember them saying "breast" cancer anywhere in the movie. I just assumed it was some kind of cancer.

But yes, I do love me a SJP.
