My Lingerie Walk of Shame (Just Another Statistic)

The Simpsons Movie (2007) = 7/10. Ha-ha. Ha-ha. Ha-ha. I laughed at the "doodle" bit the most.

The Jane Austen Book Club (2007) = 7.5/10. Great chick flick. I haven't read a lick of Austen, though. I need to remedy that...in my 30s.

Globe Trekker: New Orleans (2004) = 7.5/10. It's definitely turned me on for a spring break trip. I just need to convince the family to make reservations now...

El Laberinto del fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) (2006) = 8/10. I am a very literal person so this one did not set well with me. And I feel like such an idiot because the whole movie I was thinking "ok, where's this Pan person?" I suppose I should be better educated on the Greek gods. And the graphic violence...holy cow! I nearly have PTSD from watching Capitain turn into a fish mouth. Just replaying it in my mind over and over.... Way cool cinematography.

The O.C.: Season 1: Disc 7 (2003).

"Always wear clean underwear..."

So there I was in the minor emergency center yesterday evening, walking down the hall for a chest X-ray to rule out pneumonia. My minor nagging 3-day fever had developed into a high fever that bordered on needing serious medical attention. The ibuprofen wasn't working. I was told to put my bra and shirt in this CLEAR plastic draw bag they gave me and carry it with me to the X-ray room. I tried to hide my disgusting bra between my shirt, but that worked for all of three seconds. This particular offensive bra has little balls of lint permanently intertwined in the white lining. And because it's so old and white, it looks horribly filthy.

Thank God only the X-ray technician saw my super gross bra.

Even though I hate shopping for clothes, I must make a commitment to buy myself some new bras. Pronto!

Results: After an X-ray, having a 4-inch (no joke) flexible cotton swab stuck up my nose, crying at work because my fever was so high and I was nearly hallucinating, and then being driven to the minor emergency by a gracious co-worker, I just have flu. I am but another statistic.

I even got a flu shot this year.

Doug has flu, too.

As he says, "sharing is caring."

Jonathan and I both had the flu a few weeks ago. He got it first, so I blame him for my misery. I nearly passed out in the doctor's office, my blood pressure was so low from dehydration. Make sure you're drinking lots of liquids!

Ok, so I just realized I signed my comment Tiffany H. I haven't been Tiffany H. for nearly 5 years...
